Growing up in what I view as a "cult-like religious environment" then spending 20 years in the military, in which I flew high-performance jet aircraft (fighter jets), left little room for developing my own beliefs, values and way of life. Complicating factors, the last 10 years of my military career I was battling an unknown illness that first stripped my physical abilities, then later eroded my cognitive capability.

As I emerged from a bed and house-bound state I realized life was too short to expend energy doing things that didn't inspire me to grow, laugh and love life. I am just a human being, just like you, in my late 30s, and a lot of things to deal with. Someone who 25 years ago lost his parents and everything else that comes with it, and had to learn about self-compassion, intuition, empathy, personal development, and life not the easiest way. Someone who 13 years ago chose a career in construction engineering and project management, and had to learn about trust, teams, rapport, habits, productivity and the difference between authority and leadership. Someone who 9 years ago developed what a doctor calls "A modern Common Chronic Disease" that made me feel the worst, but also someone who chose to learn about Functional health, Energy Management, Nutrition, Sports Biomechanics, and performance, to break myself the Tag of "Being Sick".

I’m an international Health Presenter, Life Teacher and BodyMind Specialist with experience spanning 20 years. My fascination with the untapped potential of the BodyMind led me to train initially as an NLP practitioner, Polestar Pilates Lead Educator and Functional Movement therapist.
In 2000, I fine-tuned my professional expertise and became a Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapist. I realised my passion for supporting the psycho-emotional health and well being of my clients was a priority, and so qualified as a Human Potential Life Coach soon after.

Nadia Shalwani founded Nadia’s Nutrition in 2017 after years of experience working within the health and fitness industry as a health coach, nutritionist, and personal training. Prior to starting Nadia’s Nutrition, Nadia studied Nutrition at Texas Woman’s University with a focus in Dietetics and gained valuable experience having a chance to train with professional athletes training at an elite level. After graduating with a Bachelors in Science, Nadia worked at Baylor University Medical Center as a Dietetic Technician.
